BTBC WELCOMES NEW COMPETITIONS MANAGER

The Bulleen Templestowe Basketball Club are pleased to announce the appointment of Umberto Fato to the position of BTBC Competitions Manager.

Umberto joins us from the Whittlesea Pacers where he has been the Representative Administrator and instrumental in the development and implementation of community program participation growth across the last three years.

As a passionate basketball person who has a multi-layered history within the sport, he is excited to help us achieve new levels of participation across our core weekly basketball competitions saying, “I am extremely passionate about sport and the community, this role allows me the perfect opportunity to contribute to both whilst driving the club’s competitions forward.”

Attending the BTBC Board and Senior Staff Strategic Planning Day yesterday provided Umberto a key initiation to understand the current status of the Club as a whole and play a part in setting the goals we wish to achieve, particularly in the next 12 months.

Speaking on the appointment, Bulleen Basketball General Manager Ryan Rogers replied by saying “Umberto has shown a desire to quickly integrate into the Club and from our discussions he’s all about getting things done which aligns with our goals and ambitions of better serving our existing membership but more importantly helping us grow and expand, meeting the needs of the Community”.

Umberto commences his role today (12/2/24) and will be available at the BTBC office Monday through Friday on a weekly basis which will drive open communication with the community.

Umberto will communicate with relevant stakeholders in the coming week once settled, but please make him feel welcome to our great Club.
